A lady I know treated me to breakfast, then got a little angry, drank some coffee, got some more angry, finished dessert, and then I headed out into the hot afternoon sun. The 8th arrondissement is beautiful not only for its streets, but also for the people and trees passing by. This Cartier gives me the joy of living. I had to paint with all my might, with all my strength. Should I paint patiently with thin layers, or perhaps I should paint boldly with thick layers to capture this feeling, or perhaps I could find a neutral thickness in between to bring out clarity through the colors...
At that moment, I thought, "Walking and thinking about these things, I feel like a painter."
I didn't know which way I was going, but before me stood a huge cloud on the hill and a temple, perfectly lit, like a model posing.
